ASIA PASIFIKA

As much a part of the Pacific are the peoples and cultures of Asia. As contributors to the cultural diversity of New Zealand let the flavours of Asia mix with those of the Pacific to produce a unique blend of Asia Pasifika style. Perhaps a kimono-style dress with a matted sash or a sari with tapa prints. Allow yourself to be influenced by all things Asian under the skies of our Pacific nation.

3 PIECE COLLECTION: GARMENTS FOR THE DAY

In times gone by traditional Pacific daywear was influenced by the religious and cultural values of the day giving birth to the Puletasi, Lava lava and Mu'u mu'u. This section requires designers to submit three garments made for daywear. The common factor in the 3 designs can be anything from a print to a colour - it's up to you.
