Previous years events have seen the attendance of Prime Minister Helen Clark, Mayor of Auckland City John Banks, Mayor of Manukau City Sir Barry Curtis, Associate Minister for Pacific Island Affairs Taito Phillip Field, the Maori Queen - Dame Te Atairangi Kahu, and a host of Government dignitaries and City Councillors. Local and international celebrities have included Temuera Morrison, David Tua, various All Blacks, the Top Twins, and international travel extraordinaire – Michael Palin.
